It's Been a Busy Year!

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. It's been a very busy year here at the Ranch! We have partnered with the local YMCA to provide horseback riding lessons. The lessons have really taken off this year surpassing trail riding as the top income source. We had been doing lessons everyday of the week and even had to start adding times on the weekends. This is a good problem to have! We had set a goal of building an indoor arena by this winter but fell short of this achievement. It will be our #1 priority for next year.
We had a wonderful young man from France come stay with us for the summer. Alexis had a great time here in the USA and is anxious to get back here next year! He was very helpful around the farm and with the horses. We hope to see him soon :)

Sequoia came back home to his daughter Geronimae this summer as well. He is a 15 year old Mustang who is doing fantastic with the trail rides. We are glad the "family" is back together :)
We unfortunately lost one of our horse family members. Luna Blanca was just 12 years old and was a wonderful, sweet horse. We miss her dearly but her spirit will live here at the farm forever.

With the cold nasty winter weather starting early this year, business has dropped off significantly. We usually are busy all the way up to January and then slow down through February. Safety is first and foremost so we have been closed due to slippery conditions. It's just not worth it to put customers and horses lives in jeopardy just for a buck. No pun intended, lol
Hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday season! See you on the trail!
